Ping IP Online
Check whether a server responds and how fast: enter an IP or domain to see the response time of every packet, the loss and the average.
What Ping shows
A short note on every field of the result. Details are in the sections below.
What is ping
Ping sends short packets to a server and measures how many milliseconds the reply takes. It shows whether the server is reachable and how fast it responds.
How to check ping online
- 1Enter an IP address or domain.
- 2Choose the packet count and click “Ping”.
- 3See the response time of every packet, the loss and the average.
The ping runs from our server — you see how the server responds from the internet, not from your network.
How to ping an IP address from your computer
Windows: ping psbproxy.io
macOS, Linux: ping -c 4 psbproxy.ioWindows sends four packets by default. On macOS and Linux ping runs until you stop it with Ctrl+C, so -c 4 sets the packet count.
Ping my IP: how to check your own address
Click “My IP” to fill in your address and check whether it responds from the internet. Home routers often do not answer ping from outside — this is a normal setting, not a fault.
How to read the result
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| All packets received, steady time | The server is reachable, the connection is stable |
| The time jumps a lot | An unstable network on the way to the server |
| Some packets are lost | Congestion or route problems — run a trace |
| No replies at all | The server is unreachable or a firewall blocks ping |
Ping and trace
Ping shows latency only to the final server. If it is high or packets are lost, a trace shows which part of the route has the problem.
